Cookie Policy
This page explains what cookies and similar technologies 11max uses and why. They keep you signed in, remember your choices and tell us how the app is used.
Updated 30 October 2026
1 · Overview
We group cookies and similar technologies (like your browser’s local storage) under “cookies” here. This policy sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
2 · What we use
We use three kinds:
- Necessary: signing in and keeping it secure. One cookie keeps you signed in; it expires after 30 days without a visit. Two more protect sign-in and remember which page to return you to afterwards; they are deleted when you close your browser.
- Preferences: choices kept on this device only, such as your colour theme, whether sounds are on, tips, tours and this cookie notice once you have closed them, a discount code you applied before paying, and where your child stopped in an audiobook. On a device where a child has signed in, 11max also keeps copies of the pages opened in that browser, including parent pages, so the app opens quickly and copes with a weak connection, and it stores any audiobooks your child downloads for offline listening.
- Analytics: product analytics (PostHog, on EU servers) uses a cookie, kept for a year, and local storage to recognise your browser between visits. This runs for all visitors. Error reports (Rollbar) are sent from our servers and set no cookies.
When you pay or manage your subscription, you move to Stripe’s own pages, which use Stripe’s cookies.
We do not use advertising cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.
3 · Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking the necessary cookies will stop sign-in from working.
